Who are we?
Black Gold was founded by Valrie Clarke in 2011. Ever searching the internet to find events and also aware the community do not have many places to come together online, she decided to do something about it. Creating a website that could satisfy these desires became her journey and Black Gold allows for the journey to be shared with you.
Our Vision
To provide a central place for the community that allows us to come together and grow together. By ‘Nurturing Our Roots’ in this way, we are all able to provide love and support to each other, plus at the same time continually raising the awareness of the black community to all.

Our mission is to always focus on the present. The things that can be done in this moment to support, nurture and enrich our community, as well as expand the platform on which it is promoted. By keeping these two ideals at heart whilst remaining focused and determined, it is a surety that these seeds will grow and continue to flower.
